Failure is Always Your FaultPeople fail in Network Marketing? Really? 🙂Make sure you learn the following perspective of the typical network marketing company leadership and upline leaders. If you carry out all you are told in company training videos, meetings, webinars, and manuals and you see little to no results; according to the typical upline and support team, it is NOT the fault of the network marketing company, the system, or the leadership. It is ALWAYS you! YOU aren’t doing it right (according to them). This is where the frustration begins.
You see, there is a LOT of hype from the typical network marketing company’s recruiting efforts. This hype includes amazing testimonials of success, photos of people holding large cardboard checks made out for hundreds of thousands of dollars, video clips of people on exotic vacations, and of course; rags to riches stories. These are all designed to draw the person who is looking to improve his or her life in to the business. Each year, by the countless thousands, people join these companies and each year; by the countless thousands, they quit within a few months. And according to their network marketing upline and leadership these people are just non-dedicated, uncommitted quitters and cry-babies with bad attitudes.
Officer Dan Newman of the Las Vegas Police Department told America’s Dumbest Criminals of an unintentionally funny event that occurred while he was involved in a routine narcotics operation.
“We raided the house of a known drug dealer, and the suspect, upon our entering, went running down a hallway toward the back of the home,” Newman said.
“Unbeknownest to us, the man was an amputee who usually wore a prosthesis. After a moment or two of hide-and-seek my partner yelled out from the back of the house, “Hey, I’ve got the suspect here in the back bedroom … and he’s unarmed!”
It wasn’t until Newman and his partner entered the room and saw the prosthetic limb lying on the bed that they realized the true impact of the statement. Even the suspect laughed – but not for long. He was arrested for possession of a controlled substance with the intent to resale.

Officers Robert Cox and Ed Leach of Birmingham, Alabama, were on patrol in an area known for its drug houses when they spotted 5 men, most of them familiar looking, in an old Datsun with expired tags. The car also had two different colored front fenders. One fender was brown, the other white. The officers shook there heads over the eye-catching repair job as they issued the driver a ticket for the expired tags.
About three hours later, the police department received a call that a robbery had gone down at a convenience store. The getaway car was – you guessed it – a multi-colored Datsun. Bingo! Because the driver’s name was already known due to the expired tags ticket, the officers knew his address. They proceeded straight to the house, where they arrested the driver and his 4 buds.
The suspects were stunned. They couldn’t imagine how they had been caught so fast.

I really like the teachings of the late Earl Nightingale. Over the last 30 years of my life I have read and re-read his writings, listened and re-listened to his recordings, and viewed and re-viewed his videos. You might think after all this time I would know his teachings by heart. And I do. But that doesn’t mean that I have always applied them. When I have applied his principles they ALWAYS produce the result I am looking for. But when I attempt things in my own understanding and abilities, well, the results tend to be lacking.
Last night I was re-reading an excerpt from his book, This is Earl Nightingale, on how to stay healthy. Nightingale noted that people who have a real reason (a purpose) for getting out of bed in the morning tend to be happier and healthier than those that don’t. Most people, he noted, get up to go to a job.
For many people they do the work out of necessity rather than out of a sense of purpose. He stressed that living life with purpose will greatly increase your liklihood of continual good health. People who have purposeful relationships and careers/businesses are happier than those that don’t. If we are happy our body knows it. Our body was designed to produce “good feeling” and health chemicals called endorphins.
Nightingale quoted Soren Kierkegaard, the Danish philosopher, who said :
“… despair means not being oneself. Nothing can make a person sick sooner than feeling useless, unwanted, unchallenged, and unneeded, or feeling that the values other men pursue are empty and joyless for him. This is what happens to many men who retire from work at 65 and die soon thereafter.”
Well, I think this truth stands on its own merit. Our Designer has built within us the natural “feel good” chemicals that release when we feel good about our life and how we live it. If we look aroud we can verify that happy, purposeful people do indeed tend to be healthier. And finally, this truth is often repeated in the writings and musings of the best minds the world has ever produced.
This makes sense to me. I hope it does to you as well.

Here’s a “duh” statement – “Food is fuel for your body.” I think everybody gets that. But a lot of us may not consider that what we eat has a direct impact on how we feel and our overall health. Fast Food consumption and health should be at the forefront of our thinking. In this current world fast food consumption seems almost natural. Virtually all of us do it EVEN when we promise ourselves we won’t. Why? Because it is too blasted easy, convenient AND cheap (three things people like a lot!). Let’s face it, Fast Food has almost become it’s own food group. And we KNOW that it is bad for us. Fast Food Consumption and Health | Poor Nutrition
Again, this is something everyone knows. We know (almost by nature) that fast food is just plain bad for us. But, we tend to not really care. Why? Because time and money tend to be more important to us than good health. Don’t get me wrong, we DO want good health and nutrition … but it is just too hard and expensive to eat healthy. Processed food is cheap and at the ready while healthier food takes time to prepare and tends to cost more (often significantly more). It is much easier to grab a McDonald’sMcDouble than to steam vegetables.
Further, in these days of amazing medical advancements we just tend to figure that if our body starts pooping out and getting sick because of our cruddy eating habits then the boys and girls in the white jackets will prescribe just the right pill to get us through. The reality is simply this: If you and I want better nutrition, then we have to make some tough choices and follow through on them. Fast Food Consumption and Health | Poor Health
I know that this will sound crazy but I actually feel the oily crud pulsing through my veins within an hour of scarfing down a fast food burger and fries. I actually feel my good health under seige and starting to slip away. Some years ago I made the choice to eat better and workout regularly. Remaining consistent in that effort has been a challenge but for the most part I have been fairly faithful. I do, however, have my moments when I simply give in to the urge OR I allow time issues to win the day and I eat on the run. When I do I literally feel tired, greasy, and lethargic within an hour. It simply isn’t a good trade-off.
Most days my eating paln is along these lines.
Eating a 500 calorie breakfast that consists of eggs and toast OR a bowl of whole grain cereal or oatmeal.
An hour or so after breakfast I drink a Whey Protein Shake (60 grams protein) and head to my home gym for my high intensity workout.
Lunch usually involves a sandwich on whole wheat bread or a bowl of soup.
I drink no more than 5 sodas in a month (diet soda doesn’t help ladies) and I drink fat-free milk with almost every meal. I hate water but I do drink 2 to 3 bottles a day to stay hydrated.
Since I have eaten this way for as long as I have I rarely have a need for snacks. But if I want something it is typically a piece of fruit or a granola bar.
For dinner I usually eat a meal that’s about 60% protein and 40% carbs.
I never eat anything after 8 pm and neither should you if you are trying to lose weight.
Fast Food Consumption and Health | Weight Gain
At the risk of offending a lot of obese and over-weight people, you are fat because you eat too much and you make excuses for being fat. Get this, you have never accidentally eaten anything! You did not accidentally find yourself at the Burger King drive-thu! To lose weight you have to do 3 things:
You must cut your calorie intake dramatically and avoid high fat/high sugar foods. You may need a good weight management shake to offset crazings …CLICK HERE to see what I recommend.
You MUST exercise!!! You cannot lose significant weight without physical exertion. Yes you will get tired and winded. Yes your muscles will get sore (at first). Yes you WILL hate it. But this is the ONLY way to lose weight in a healthy fashion. If you exercise and feel tired, winded, and sore … GOOD! That means its working!
You must DECIDE that you will love yourself enough to take the above two steps and DO NOT STOP … EVER!!!
